Review NaN of , from Boones Mill, Virginia 24065

Summary:
The "Reveille named after me Raville" is without the most transparent and detailed preamplifier I have ever heard or owned. It is a dual mono design from the power suplies to the two 6SN7 octal base triode tubes. The SRPP design is simple with a very high precision input transformer that minimizes input source noise and allows the output to be non-inverted, which keeps things simple with multi-amping.
Specifications:
Frequency Response 2hz to 80k (+0/-2db)
Distortion .06%@12volts output
Input Impedances 15k
Output Imdeances less than 1k
The preamp line stage uses the best of available parts
such as Caddock, Holco resistors, Solen, MusiCap and Elna caps and Cardas wiring and RCA's. The sum total of parts yields the most impressive sound to date. Highly recommended but not for the first time builders, for the differnece in cost have Welborne labs build you one. The dual attentuators and wiring can be a challenge. If you are looking for the best that money can buy for the reasonably sane, than the Reveille is it. The kit runs $1595 and factory finished at $1995.

Strengths:
Rhythms are tuneful and musical, bass is tight and extended with weight, overall musically transparent and detailed.

Weaknesses:
None for me, but some might like the more relaxed designs with softer bass and openness.
