DESCRIPTION

The JP 80 MC two-chassis, full function preamplifier with separate power supply incorporates two head preamps, for moving coil and moving magnet cartridges. Mono design with ganged stepped volume controls, a standby switch, 8 tubes in the control module and two in the power supply, and four line inputs, among other important features assure world-class sound.

Strength:

Outstanding phono stage for low output Mc cartridge.Very musical but at the same time airy,open,transparent soundstage.A midrange to die for.Also very beautiful preamp to look at.Total dual mono.Great linestage too.

Weakness:

No balance input/output.Bass a little fat and slightly roll off treble,but can be ameliorated with nos tubes,esp in power supply
