Strength:

they need less complex adjusting. Using a compound of cobalt amorphous will result in higher balanced frequency than the ferrite types. There's no cutting off in the higher range. In use with EE tapes you'll get the highest peformance. Although there are some doubts about the low frequency, the BIAS in the pre-amp can be adjusted to use a higher current. I just wanted to say that this model is known to have issues with the 80v caps and 100v ones were recommended on a post I found straight from a big wig at nad. Ill link the post later when I find it.

Strength:

Sound , Neutral Switch, Appearance, Quality Sound, Flawless Operation, Remote Control, Pairs Well with my Dunlavy III Speakers. I have owned this NAD C372 since I purchased it new, I had a NAD C370 which I kept for a second setup. I have been totally satisfied with both of them and have not had any issues or problems with either one. You do need to have proper ventilation for them. Many who have stopped by to listen have been very impressed with the performance of the NAD C372 and its' presence in the room. Since 2006, I have nothing but high remarks for this workhorse.

Weakness:

None that I have found

I've had my C372 for five years and never had the slightest problem. I always like to leave it switched on for half an hour before listening as it improves substantially like most amps. Mine is driving a pair of Magnaplaners and the sound is stunning , its grip on the bass end is as close to perfection as I've ever heard. I tend to use this amp with the tone defeat turned on as it just doesn't require any adjustment in my opinion. I also love the huge soundstage and its pinpoint imagining. Over the years I've owned many good amps but none of them has managed to give me as much pleasure as this wonderful amp. I couldn't recommend it more highly. I do wonder about some of the reviews on this amp others have left, someone said it has bass distortion, I just dont get that and wonder what speakers its paired with , another said the left channel died then later the right. Would you not just turn it off after losing one side , im sure I would. There is such a beautiful richness with this Amp and it drives the rather low impedance Magnaplaners perfectly.

Weakness:

The one thing that is a problem is the lack of sleep caused by never wanting to turn it off. I just love it.

Strength:

Best in his price level, nothing to compare with tbh, it has a lot of power resources with a great sound. Such a great amp !

Weakness:

A LOT OF BAD RATINGS AND FAILURES OF THIS PRODUCT IS BECAUSE USERS DON’T LET VENTILATION SPACE AROUND TO COOL. It has no fans to cool, space is needed. Had it for 13 years now, it has never missed a beat !

I agree with the previous fellow, a complete dud. Still have a NAD 3155 that I had bridged with a 2155 for 30 years. The C372 after 3 years blew a capacitor on start up from cold, and in a well ventilated installation, it never seemed quite right after repair on warranty. NAD even has the nerve to say they would not warranty the C 372 for this reason. Though they did mine, it just didn't sound as good as when new. After 7 years one of the resistors on the right side main amp came loose. The solder was stuck to the resistor pin but no longer to the circuit board. $250 later, I will admit they halved the price of the capacitors they replaced or it would have been about $450, it worked for about 2 weeks, they are now looking at the volume control.. My profession before retireing was a marine engineer. I understand very well when a cascading event starts, passing on to another part then another and so on. At this point I can no longer follow there reasoning in paying more for repairs than the cost of a new amp. I purchased a Harmon Kardon 3490 and am very pleased with this reciever.

this thing is a poor quality dud & for the price is a joke as such. I was under the false illusion that a name like nad came with quality but was a wrong> The left channels went & later the right channels went with very little use. In short dont touch it or for that matter nad products in genral not impressed at all!

I am having C372 for just more than a year. matched quite right with my PSB speakers but the volume control trigger some distortion everytime when i adjust the volume. i has sent to the service centre for repair but the can not refuse the defects. for sure, i isolated the problem by using my friend's amp to test my speakers by using the same setting, same CD player, same CD. No distortion was detected. This make me very sad. I have to stay with the volume distortion forever.

This amp does not even come close to other NAD product offerings. It was bested by a long shot by my old NAD C320BEE at 50 watts driving my PSB Synchrony Two's. I upgraded to the C375BEE for a bit more money and WORLD of difference. The C375BEE is a bargain and definately the best I have heard in my many systems. It's the best NAD amp I have ever heard. There must be something with the BEE designation, which the C372 does not have as a designation. Also, the C375 is spec'd at 150 watts like the C372, but reading the specs shows a fair amount of difference in output.
