A very well balanced amplifier which has a very dynamic but natural sound.

First heard this amp in a friends system and was so impressed that I purchased one second hand on Ebay. I am currently using it with a Linn LP12 turntable, Leema Acoustic Antila CD player, Leak Troughline tuner, Chord signature cables and Ruark Crusader speakers. After using the Graaf for several years I am still impressed with the natural sound it produces, the amp simply seems to disappear in that it amplifies without seeming to add its own character. There are a few drawbacks however, it gives off a massive amount of heat and it is quite large and exceptionally heavy so needs a decent amount of space and strong support shelf. I would recommend this without hesitation to anyone who really enjoys music. |

I have been an audio enthusiast for over 40 years and during that time have owned a huge amount of gear including over ten amps including top spec EAR valve amps but without doubt this amp is head and shoulders above anything else I have ever heard. It's performance is only limited to the quality of the source and speakers. Although rated at only 50watts it drives my Usher Baby Dancer speakers with total authority and power. Really deep lows and sweet highs with a incredible midrange, I am totally bowled over with the incredible sound quality. I have just finished listening to a Donna Summer LP via my Origin Live turntable and PS audio phono stage and believe me I cannot rate this amp highly enough. Buy one and I doubt you will ever sell it. |
