Strength:

Sonic accuracy, naturalness, and tube and circuit style flexibility

Weakness:

Open chassis/exposed tubes

I needed an amp with enough power to drive my Martin Logan SL3's but still sound natural and dimensional. ML's sound best with tubes but need an amp capable of driving this difficult load (4 ohms dipping below 2 ohms). The VAC has plenty of guts, the naturalness of tubes, and great tube/circuit flexibilty (can vary feedback, output tube type, and circuit style, ie triode, ultralinear or pentode). Biasing is easy and stable, and the sound reproduction is dimensional and lifelike. Hopefully the unit will hold up.

These amps are so much better than any solid state amp that I haveheard. I am in audio heaven! For the last two years I have been
trying to get my system to have the "magical" sound that really
draws you in, and now I have it.
