This Primare gear is something special. Sure, we all tend to go with what we know....Mcintosh, Parasound, Bryston, whatever your flavor may be. I've had them all. A came across a deal on the SP31 processor, A30.2 amp, and A30.5. First thing you will notice...BUILD QUALITY! The A30.2 is heavier than my Bryston 4B which is rated at more than twice the power. The presentation this equipment gives is outstanding. It does everything very well. Most things do one or two things great and lack somewhere.....great midrange, but lacks bass, or strong bass but lacking in the highs, whatever it may be. Not this gear. I'm currently running the A30.2 to the highs/mids of my B&W Nautilus 803's and 2 of the 5 channels from the A30.5 to the lows. Sound is very open, never harsh, and very accurate. That's the best way to describe the sound. It's very expensive gear, and not easy to find. That's why my value rating is a 4. If you are spending over two grand for a 2 channel amp, you likely want one with more than 120 watts a channel. If you can find any of the Primare gear and have a chance, give it a try.
