Bottom Line:
I found this amp to be just what it is and then some. A simple 75 watt stereo tube amp from Manley Labs. You won't find it in their catalogue or website. For the price it is a very good performer. This little amp brings out the soul of the music in a way that is hard to descibe.
From what I was told Manley labs made these amps on the side for several recording studios.

It is very good with rock/blues especially guitar oriented music.
currently playing the manley through a pair of ml aerius i speakers and it sounds fine.

it is not the most awsome tube amp in the world but for the price it is a very good well made tube amp.

Bottom Line:
this is an extremely well-made, accurate and hi-end sounding amplifer. It is a champ at tonality and transpearency. The 75/75 uses the same curcuits as all manley amplifires, but because this is a medium range tube amplifier, the circuitry is short and simple. This leads to a quality of inner detail that floors me every time. You can find this amp on the used market, along with nearly identical VTL ST85 (Absolute Sound's Tamara Baker's 10 best of the year)on the market for about $1000.

Miller & Keisel 75 Mark 2 sub worth fixing?

Is my broken Miller & Keisel 75 Mark 2 sub worth fixing? I bought it about 8 years ago from a local dealer. Last week it simply lost power and does not function. The sub was fantastic. I suppose my questions are: 1. What do you think is wrong? 2. Is it easy and cheap (because I'll probably do it ... Read More »

Ortofon OM 5E bottoming out at 1.75 grams?

My tonearm(s) are level. Both the 5E tips I got are slightly bottoming out occassionally on imperfect (mildly warped or noncentered hole) records or if I just hit stop/play when set to the "optimal" 1.75 grams. Is that normal? I'm not sure if it's affecting the sound, or not, but I can see th ... Read More »
