Strength:

filter flexibility, construction, price

Weakness:

Needs onboard attenuation for input voltage

I bought this solely because it offers something I could not find on any other product: a variable low pass filter that goes higher than 200hz. In fact, this one goes to 500hz. This makes it more versatile for my wants than any plate amp. I use it to amplify two pyle PPA15s in an open baffle setup. It pushes about four times more power than I need, but no big deal. It's nicely built and heavy! I have not had problems with it. I like that the subsonic filter goes to 50hz. On some bass heavy tracks its a nice way to even things up. I needed to buy line level filters to bring the input down 12db as things were way too loud in comparison to my mids. I recommend attenuators with this unit. They can be had from harrison labs for around $30. I plan to have this unit upgraded by Underwood Hifi at some point.
