The R-V501 Natural Sound A/V receiver from Yamaha offers high power, high performance and high affordability. Dolby Pro Logic Surround projects dialogue straight from the front, while music and sound effects come from back and sides, creating a highly dramatic and realistic effect. In addition to the Dolby Pro Logic mode, the RV-501 offers three digital surround modes: Dolby 3 Stereo, Hall and Rock. A 34-key remote control lets you program and control additional components such as a VCR, Laserdisc player, or TV. This receiver lets you hook up not only four audio components, but two audio/video units as well. A linear damping factor of 80 (8 ohms 20 - 20, 000 Hz) means plenty of ability to stop the speaker cone from vibrating when the signal stops.
