DESCRIPTION

The Yamaha RX-395 provides high output power with impressive sound quality. It features pure direct switch and amplification circuit. When this switch is engaged, the input signal bypasses the bass, treble, loudness, and balance circuits and travels straight to the power amplifier. You can choose this short, direct path if you want maximum signal purity. At low volumes, the ear is less sensitive to low and high tones. A loudness switch does not solve the problem because it adjusts at only one level. Yamaha's exclusive Continuously Variable Loudness Control is the only way to fully compensate for this effect. This feature adjusts the volume while boosting or cutting the midrange to maintain proper tonal balance. Metal front panel prevents radio frequency interference (RFI), which degrades sound quality if component is placed near a TV or other source of RFI. A linear damping factor of 100 (8 ohms 20-20,000 Hz) means plenty of ability to stop the speaker cone from vibrating when the signal stops. Yamaha's ...
