This has been my receiver for nearly 20 years. It's as reliable as a wood stove. The sound is clear and accurate at any volume level. I had this unit paired up with some Cerwin Vega DX-7 and rattled a picture off the wall. Turn the volume down for some jazz and you would swear the person is singing in your living room. Put on an action film and you will be ducking when gunshots go off. The only complaint is the RCA inputs. Sadly,it can no longer be hooked up to any of my newer devices, so it has been honorably retired.

Strength:

Many inputs, easy to read front digital display, and audio and video devices can be handled through it.

Weakness:

Not HDMI or XM ready or able to handle some of the new digital video and sound devices of today.

I bought this JVC surround sound system about 10 years ago and it has been a tough one to beat. It still has the same excellent performance today as it did the day I unboxed it. I have hooked many different types of devices up to it and they have all worked quite well with it. I would have to say that until this unit wears out, I will never buy another one.
