Strength:

Phase 4 really lets the music and tunes flow. It is still hard to believe that a hif-support can make the equipment sound so good. I am at Phase5 now and that sounds even better!

Weakness:

Nothing

I started with the Amp-Stand and have built the Phases up step by step. Each Soundstage added have been a large upgrade in every respect.

Strength:

A few weeks ago I upgraded my Mana setup from Phase 1 on speakers and electronics to Phase 4 on the electronics and Phase 2 on the speakers.

Due to the fact that I've been very busy at work and I knew that Mana equipment needs time to "settle" I haven't had an opportunity to say what a big difference it has all made.

The jump from a normal "hi-fi" stand to Phase 1 Mana was big.

Phase 1 to 4 is huge, I just didn't realise that home hi-fi could sound this incredible.

I have heard a lot of setups some of them composed of components which cost upwards of £20,000 and not even they give the kind of magical involvement that my relatively modest system is now giving.

Until now I don't think I had realised the true potential of the "Mana Effect".

First of all everything has become faster. That important hi-fi factor of timing is improved to such an extent that almost anything played whether on vinyl or even CD sounds breathtaking.

Bass is tight and with the kind of chest thump that you normally have to pay many thousands of pounds for.

CDs which I had previously thought were poor recordings with uncontrollable "slow" bass have now revealed their true nature. The energy given to a performance by such amazing, controlled bass just has to be heard (and felt) to be believed.

Treble is crisper and cleaner, with increased detail and "airiness", making even CDs sound exciting and involving - and all this without a hint of harshness. Instruments are very well separated and even when a lot is going on you don't get the muddling up and blurring of different elements which is almost taken for granted with most hi-fi.

The result of this is complex segments of the music have become more rewarding to listen to. I no longer have to try to pick out what is going on it's all there to hear.

Voices really sing out from the speakers and previously hidden details have begun to reveal themselves.

Another fact is that, as I had always been told would happen, the system is able to play at very high volume levels without stress.

- At the same time the system is also very quiet during silent passages. You can go right up to the tweeters with the volume at full blast and there's not a hint of the hiss which I used to get.

This also makes quiet listening very rewarding. (-Although I'm of the camp that believes it's important to feel the music as well as hear it, after all that's one of the features of real live music.)

Needless to say I've already ordered my next installment of Mana equipment so I can take my electronics up to Phase 8 and my speakers to Phase 3. I just can't wait to see what that next step will do for my equipment!

I have yet to hear anything for the same price as Mana, or even at many more times the cost (for new electronics/sources etc.) that can bring such an improvement to a system.

Weakness:

Takes time to set up. Needs several days to reach optimal performance. You'll go mad trying to figure out how it works -just forget about it and enjoy the music.

An even bigger leap than going from nothing to Mana Phase 1. Phase 4 basically means that my Mana Amp rack is placed on three soundstages (giving each component four levels or phases of Mana support). The difference is breathtaking. A friend who came to see me was asking where I'd hidden the subwoofer! He couldn't believe the difference that phase 4 made. It just makes music more real. I no longer bother with upgrading electronics - compared to Mana support levels these only make marginal differences. Now I just use my money to buy more soundstages to put under my amp rack and soundbases for under my speakers.

Strength:

You just won't believe it if I tell you

Weakness:

None, apart from perhaps the visual impact of having a black oil-rig contraption in your listening room :-)

Stunning. Absolutely unbelievable. Anyone who says otherwise clearly has neither owned nor heard properly set-up Mana. Everything the first reviewer said is true - a phase 4 table is so good I know of no words to describe the positive impact it has had on the musicality of my system, and I would give this 105 stars if I could...

Strength:

The Mana Stands are now at phase 8 and sound fantastic.

Weakness:

For the Mana stands - none really, but then I have to live in the same world as people like Mr "Skeptic" who is so immature and lacking in stature that he/she can't even use his/her real name.

Well Mr Skeptic seems to be in dispute regarding my review. I wonder if he has ever tried a Mana setup? I assume not. What is the point of his review? It merely reduces the rating of a product for no reason. I do not work for Mana acoustics and if I did give up my day job I certainly wouldn't mind working for Stereophile if the pay was decent. To be honest most magazine reviews are about as valuable as toilet paper. However most people tend to listen to them regardless of what they say and though "skeptic" may pretend to be someone who is challenging a glowing review by providing no evidence to the contrary he completely fails. Also by taking such a mocking stance he simply reinforces the status quo and general "hi-fi" establishment.

For Mr "Skeptic": various other idiots I have encountered throughout my life. Too many too list.
