I've used several cartridges, but none quite like the Transfiguration Temper. I find it smooth sounding with no peaks or dips from top to bottom. It extracts information from LPs like no other cartridge I've heard. It's sound stage is wide and deep with an uncanny ability to outline each musical instrument even during complex musical passages. However, I do not recomend this cartridge for systems that are lean and mean. I think some of the musicality would be lost. I use the Temper on a Basis Ovation with a Graham 1.5 tonearm. I use Hovland tonearm cable(very nice!). My speakers are Martin Logan Monolith and Mark Levinson power amp and pre-amp. Everything cabled with Transparent.
