Bottom Line:
If you live in Norway and are about to shell out $5000 for a power amplifier you have no choice but to audition the DPA 6.3 before you decide. In terms of build and component quality, the Electrocompaniet AW 250R (which only cost just over $3.000 in Norway) doesn't even come close. Norwegian reviewers have even ranked the DPA 6.3 above the ML333. I won't comment on that (I've never heard the 333), but the DPA 6.3 is certanly a quality product and a definitive BEST BUY.

Bottom Line:
This amplifier ( 2*200 watt 8 Ohm) is the dream of most audio interested individuals who have actually heard it. Except those who are dreaming of it`s big brother, the Dynamic Precision 5.0 or 5000H, 500 W @ 4 ohm at a price far beyond reason, $20 000. This amp is comparable to Krell and Mark Levinson. It is defined and detailed, yet it is powerfull and it does really drive such speakers as forsmann VSS III easily, the Mirage M3si is a nice match, but the APOGEE Diva is yet better. It is very good value, especially with the pre amp BPC 7.0The set is priced $ 6400 and is absolutely worth it. When compared to the Electrocompaniet DMB 250R & EC4 set, the Dynamic Precision set is more controlled and detailed inthe lower frequencies . The High freq. are possibly a little more weightless on the E.C. set, but the D.P. set is a better buy, the music feels more right, ( a bit like conrad johnson), the tonal balance is a bit lower and the midrange is more alive. Altogether the best Amp at the price if you have not so efficient speakers.
