I don't exactly have the ideal reference setup, but I have Been very pleased with this 200.00$. I have always been a slave to the single disc player, maybe it is a one track mind, but I am very impressed. for the money cmoparable multi disc players will never measures up, and out of box with a standard RCA this CD player sounds great. Must have for enthuasist on the budget. No hassles, no break in period, this Plug and Play happiness is the only one in my stereo.. I would consider paying double for it.
