i have a old eq1 audiosorce i bought 20 yrs ago 10 band w/ pink noise genertor w/ rack mount still works fine better then new stuff all new tech. really dont need a lot of talyoring. amlooking for the eq ten audiosource w/ two tape mon

Easy to use, nice display, but not to flashy looking. Cleans up sound GREAT! Adds great depth to any speaker.

Mine broke after 2 1/2 years, but was easy to fix.

I agree with the one review before mine. Adding a EQ section to the site would be a good idea. But, on to the review... Well, im only 16, but i really enjoy listening to all knids of music. Mainly classical, some rock, and swing/jazz music. This equalizer is a great one, trust me. I got it at a steal for $99 at best buy in '96. when i got home and ran it through my speakers, i was shocked by how much better my speakers sounded. then i had only a crappy pair of Technics speakers, but now i run them through a pair of Optimus LX 8's. All the highs are higher, and the lowes lower. It also seems to filter out alot of the ambient nose that usually is played. It adds great depth,and is really worth it. I would upgrade to the new model III, but i think it looks to flashy, like i said above. try listening to some old Ella Fitgerald/Louie Armstrond cd's, and the difference is great.

OK, I was shocked to se there is no category for EQ's! What a crime, man if you know ANYTHING about stereo's you know an EQ can mean the differance between good and whoppin butt. This is the best EQ for the money-hands down. 10 channel each for right and left side(s). The Spectrum analyzer allows you to "see" the sounds and at what degree of output they have. Some receivers made now DON'T have a tape monitor switch, which you need to run this,so make sure you have that but nonetheless you NEED to get an EQ for the ultimate sound experiance. At 99 bucks-what are you waiting for?*get it at best buy*

I have to agree with the previous review: you realy don't know what your ears are missing until you can extend your control beyond the rudimentary "bass and treble" buttons. I had a 10 year old Kenwood with a built in 5 band equalizer that worked both channels with Klipsch Forte's. After buying a Denon AVR-85 surround,a Kenwood KM-X1000 (THX, 130 watts per channel) for the front speakers (the Forte's), Klipsch Synergy KSF 8.5's for the surround speakers, Klipsch km-c for the center speaker, and a JBL DPS-12 250 watt powered subwoofer, the sound seemed like it had a pillow in front of the speakers compared to my old Kenwood. After buying this equalizer from uBid for $71 (and discovering it didn't work with a digital source, only analog), it was like suddenly being given the gift of hearing after being deaf for so long. The top hats and cymbals are fresh and crisp, the vocals sound refreshingly live, my soundstage expanded to twice what it was before. I can now even hear the "pop" of the vocalist's lips next to the microphone as if they were in the room.
Before laying down a chunk of money on any other component, buy this and hook it up. It may be all you need.
