DESCRIPTION

The RX-ES1SL, a fully-featured AV receiver with a high power output of 5 x 100W, incorporates a new, JVC-developed Hybrid Feedback Digital Amplifier. This employs a smaller transformer and power supply, and uses two feedback loops: a digital feedback loop to improve the precision with which Pulse Width Modulation signals are generated; and an analogue feedback loop to ensure that the output waveform of the analogue signal is identical to the input waveform. The result: extremely high power in a compact design, and only around one tenth the total harmonic noise distortion of conventional digital amplifier designs.
