JVC RX-D205 7.1 Channels Receiver A/V Receivers

JVC RX-D205 7.1 Channels Receiver A/V Receivers

DESCRIPTION

Surround sound speakers don't amount to much without a quality receiver, and this JVC 7.1-channel model plays the role perfectly. Equipped with a full complement of surround decoders--including Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, DTS, DTS-ES, DTS Neo:6, DTS 96/24, Dolby Pro Logic II, and Dolby Pro Logic IIx--the receiver breathes life into home theater audio, delivering spectacularly crisp, explosive sound for both movies and music. The decoded formats are complemented by JVC's digital acoustics processor, which creates dynamic audio soundstages that mimic the acoustics of the most popular live venues. Among the multichannel DAP selections are Theater 1 and Theater 2, Hall 1 and Hall 2, Dance Club, Live Club, and Pavilion.

Strength:

Good sound for stereo and movies. Small and very nice looking. Easy seup.

Weakness:

No cd input and hard to figure out the graphic equallizer. Small remote with very small buttons.

Not bad for $84. All kinds of connectors for audio and video. Remembers all settings for each source. The sound is very good for both stereo and home theater. The only slight problem is, why make a receiver with no cd input? I use vcr for my optical connection for my cd player, and it works just fine. Not much of a review, but have only had it hooked up for two days. This was a refurb by the way, that explains the low cost.
