I agree with the other reviewer. Clean highs, good mids but lacking in bass. I am happy with them as front speakers in the home theatre format used in conjuction with a subwoofer.

I purchased these speakers used and for the price have been impressed for several years. This speaker is the predesesor to the 602. THe driver has been swithced from an 8" polycarbonate to the kevlar driver you see with the 602. These speakers with a metal dome tweeter are very vocal especially for female vocals. They have very clear highs such as with symbols. THe draw back with this speaker is it lacks bottom end. For some one starting a system these are an excellent bargain if you can find them used. I purchased mine 3-yrs ago with the matching B&W stands for 350.00. If you plan on using these with somehigh end equipment i wouldn't recommend it. It sounds great with a harmon kardon receiver, hero, and mit terminator II, but they are a little week when coupled to rotel preamp and B&K 4420.
