Review 1 of 16

Price Paid:  $199.00

Summary:
Great sound from a small system for a reasonable price. Puts out PLENTY of sound for my dorm room. Might not be as practical in an extra large room. Would not be appropriate for a home theater. Also, you can get excellent bass from it as long as you remain aware of the relationship between speaker positioning and good sound. Did not have any trouble with the controls after a brief initial consultation with the manual.

Strengths:
Great bass for a system of it's cost.

Weaknesses:
Dumb novelty stuff. Also, I do notice that it is SOMEWHAT more sensitive to scratches, but not enough to be a problem as long as you take care of your CDs.

Review 2 of 16

Summary:
The system is a newer version of nsx777 its a nsxs777 with 2400 wats pmpo .The bass response is really awsum at a moderate volume it fills the whole room.THE HIGH FREQUENCY RESPONSE IS ALSO VERY GOOD THE HIFREQUENCY SOUNDS are crystal clear especially with the bbe system. It also has the option for connecting surround speakers. And the dsp surround really works in simulating different enviornments, except the hall mode.Theres a delay in this mode which kind o acts like a voice synthesizer at lower setings of volume. At high volumes it really works. The cd changer is a bit sensitive it wont play cds with itsy bitsy scratches .The twin full logic audio decks are also very impressive.Anothr feature is AI program edit which means artificial intelligence .This is for recording tracks from cds to cassets. It actually calculates the cd length n tape length then adjusts the spacing b/w songs accordingly so that no part of the song is cut.The full remote is both practical n dandy .Man i m really in love with this #%$@*ng audio system.Who says that Aiwa products r a bunch o crap.

Strengths:
This baby really rocks. The bass is really awsumm. With 160mm Subwoofers it produces a thundering, RUBLING GODY bass.Bass enthusiasts this is 4 u. If u r interested in lights then ull like the cool flashy display.

Weaknesses:
The HALL Surround mode really sukz at lower volumes. The voice seems like that of a robot. The cd changer also has a very sensitive head ,it wont play cds with just a hair size scratches. The casino jack game is also a little out of place in the audio system Infact it looks kind o stupid. Who buys a hifi 4 playing a stupid game. The fill in music library is also an extra item which has no use.

Summary:
This Aiwa is not supposed to be high quality stuff. It sounds o.k. to me. The best thing is that the bass is good. It does blow out at high levels easily and the midrange woofer does not seem to work to well when you unplug the subwoofers. The main work is done down low and up high. I think the 3-way makes it sound better on the specification sheet. The trouble could be better but at 220 bucks it was good for me. I plan on upgrading to a louder more bass component system. Maybe some Cerwin Vega's. Well if you want fairly good sound at a cheap price, buy it. I don't know what all the other reviews say that the cd player skips a lot because it does not. Only if you have really scratched cd's. I take care of my cd's and dont have a problem.

Strengths:
BAsS, LoUdThe reason I bought this system is because i wanted an inexpensive way to get powerful bass out of something small. I like the equalizer settings which are fairly easy to use.

Weaknesses:
It has a game that is on when you first plug it in which is annoying to figure out to turn on. When you take off the speaker covers, stuff can get trapped inside and rattle against the subwoofer which is annoying.

Review 4 of 16

Summary:
Great starter for a mini system. But the cd player absolutely stinks. When i tried to play a cd with less than a hair wide and centimeter long of a scratch it skipped until the cows came home! It is a peice of crap, but on the better side of it it has great sound and bass.

Strengths:
Great sound, great bass, also i like that i can hook it up to my tv with noo trouble at all.

Weaknesses:
CD player sucks, one itty bitty scratch and it'll skip for a year.

Summary:
The system was purchased for £169.99 in a local hifi retail
store in London, UK. When I got the system home I was
delighted with the overall quality and features. At the price
I paid it is well worth the money.

Strengths:
Nice to look at, overall good sound, remote does almost everything

Weaknesses:
The game is crap, removal of cd's is very tricky.
