Summary:
I purchased this system because of all the great info I received from friends...now I find there may be one thing they failed to tell me. I have a 3 disc carousel cd changer and after about 3 months the changer fails to play my cds. If I load 3 discs in the changer, maybe one of the three will play. My husband has an AIWA system, about a year older than mine, with a 3 disc carousel cd changer and it doesn't work at all. It is amazing how the same thing that happened to his system has now happened to mine. I think AIWA needs to do something about this. I have read other reviews stating the same thing has happened to their 3 disc changers...and these are mine and other models. It doesn't seem to matter what the price range is either...it happens to all models. This is definitely a defect which needs to be addressed. My daughter has an AIWA 2 cd player system that's not a carousel, and it plays perfectly. The problem has to be with the carousel mechanism. I keep my system very clean...my cds very clean...the stereo system very clean...so it can't be dirty. LOL!! Other than that, the system sounds great; I have my television connected to the surround sound and that sounds great...but I bought the system for the cd player....I feel I wasted my money.
