from Found at E.M.U Campu Summary: Ok you all may have been scammed by these guys but not me....i have heard of the stories and i truely believe them....i am 18 and have been employed at Suburban Electronics in Michigan for the last 6 years...I came across these speakers from a friend of mine at E.M.U....he had found them in the garbage on the Campus and just simply donated them to me to se what i could do with them.....the first thing i had noticed was, the crossovers were totally wrong....thank god the colleges kids had only tripped the make-shift relay in there, and nothing was blown...The first thing i did was consult my good friends over at Fox,Int''l inc. and ordered the CORRECT capacitors and Power Resistors in its place. To my Dismay, the speakers were reading at 32 Ohms.....for you Dumb-Audio phreaks, this is increddibly high (like blow your outputs high)...so then i had to go to Almas Hi-Fi (very hi-end shop), and talk to a buddy of mine there....needless to say the Crossovers i had made were in fact correct, per-say...but in the same sense they were wrong...With a little patience and a little prior knowlege, i was able to get them to come around...to make a long story short, i have made these junk-ola speakers into MACKDADDY SLAMMERS, for only 50$....hehehe Strengths: Nice looking, decent for the average audio nut.... Weaknesses: built like junk, waaaaay over-rated....and a major pain in the crack... Similar Products Used: man, im not even going to compare my Cerwin Vegas, Klipsch or my McCintosh system with this crap...
