Strength:

As noted above
An absolute reference of a sub!!!

Weakness:

Good bass just cant be reproduced in a small enclosure, the laws of physics apply!

This sub has all the elusive attributes one would want in a highly resolving bassmeister. You ask yourself , is it on, is it even working, that is, until the first note from Michael Arnopols acoustic bass just melts your senses, not only does it pin you to your listening chair but it gets out of the way just as fluidly and effortlessly as it appears.
In and out speed that can blend seamlessly with even the likes of the best electrostatic panels and Magneplaners not to mention dynamic cones. This sub or subs as I have a stereo pair are an absolute reference in all things important to me
1. Low frequencies
2.Speed
3. Seamless integration with even FULL RANGE speakers
4.Ability to disappear
5. Resolving low level ambient/spatial cues on recordings

Don't overlook this sub when considering others, its list of supporters is both vast and well known.

Like some others I wont be making that mistake, this ones a keeper.

Strength:

Incredible depth, slam, and extension.

Weakness:

Pop or cut off when play loud for a period of time.

I had this sub for about two years but sold it! It was the best sub I had. I replaced it with the REL, and it's gone too. Now I see the last two reviewers who wrote that they got them for about $700-$800 for the sub, and I wonder where and they get it for that price. Does anyone know? It would be a great reunion again. This time it will stay!!!

Strength:

No overhang, very low, tight, accurate bass. With drawing attention to itself.

Weakness:

Size, 24 high, 21.25 wide and 18.5 deep.

This sub is the best sub I have ever owned. When I 1st put it in my system, I new it was special, its there without knowing its there!!! It blends prefect with my Triangle Celius speakers. The bass is very tight and accurate. It makes every cd I have sound so incredible, the bass pitch is right on, sounding better than other subs in my system, Rel- Stra. & Storm.,Servo 15, and Earthquake. I found it very easy to set-up, with the only draw back, its size. Just buy one, and see!!!

Strength:

Great low end.

Weakness:

Cant sustain low end for to long. Cuts off in the middle of a movie. Amplifier heats up to quickly.

Incredible sounding sub, great feel. I also tried the infra 12, but decided to go with the 18. The reason I opted for the 18 was the 12 would reach its thermal peak very quickly and shut down, which was very surprising considering Bag Ends reputation for low end power. The 18 did the same thing but it would last a little longer. Bottom line if you want a sub that would give long sustained low end this is not the product for you(especially if you own a video game console ex. Xbox) If you listen moderatly then this a great sounding sub.

GREAT BASS, NOT OVERPOWERING.

Weakness:

NONE.

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A SUB THAT WOULD DO WELL WITH BOTH HOME THEATRE AND MUSIC. THE BAG END DOES JUST THAT AND MORE.WHEN I FIRST RECIEVED THIS SUB, I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE SIZE, BUT THE SOUND TOTALLY MAKES UP FOR THAT.I HAVE TESTED MANY OTHER SUBS, AND THIS ONE IS SO PRECISE AND NOT BOOMY.AFTER SETTING IT UP, I QUICKLY PLAYED THE FIFTH ELEMENT ON SUPER BIT DVD, WOW! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SUB.

Strength:

Very musical, tight seamless integration, deep accurate base and a great VALUE!!!

Weakness:

Long and expensive cable runs to hook up through line level inputs.

Great sub at a bargain price. I got mine at
Music Center of Kenosha, Wisconsin for around $900,
414-697-9393. Comparably priced at up to $1500 at other internet stereo shops. I wanted a sub that could pull double duty on movies and rock. This sub delivers. I'm running some Polk SDAs with a Parasound 220 watt amp. This sub completely filled in the bottom end without drawing any attention to itself. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Strength:

Blends perfectly with the six dynamic speakers I have used with It. Good on HT, Very hard to top on Music

Weakness:

no remote or adjustable crossover

Now that I have logged thousands of hours on the Bag and have used 6 different speaker systems, my feelings are even more positive than before. No need to repeat the, It has all
been said. I have the Bag connected with one high quality interconnect and one Y connector, L+R Inputs on the Bag to
main L output of my Muse 3, I am running balanced on the Muse, since the main RCAs remain active, no nasty Y needed here. I tried the six interconnect route, noise and more noise, expensive, I heard no improvement in sound. Would like to hear from anyone using Maggies with the Infra. I have PSB Goldi, 1.6QRs and 1.5s on the way. For the price as quoted earlier from Reference AV this is truly hard to beat. Also service from the company is FIRST CLASS and this includes Reference.Long story, first day of ownership, Bag went up in smoke, quick call to Reference, followed by an e-mail response from Bag End. Two days later new Bag arrived air freight directly from factory. A super sub, super service and a super dealer. ps Bag End even called to see If I was satisfied, this was at a time where they were on backorder, some dealer had to wait a little longer for stock.

Strength:

Everything a sub can offer

Weakness:

Too big!

It is difficult to get any sub out there for $1000 that can match the Bag End. I have read endless reviews on different subs and listen to several as well, but none could match it. I replaced the Bag End with my old Velodyne ULD 15 that I had for more than ten years. The ULD is a classic, but not any more comparing to the Bag End. If I have more money, I'd get another one so mine would not have to work so hard. Plus I think it would sound better. It definitely has done a great job with my 1.6QR Maggies. I would not recommend any other sub for under $1000. I am sure you can spend more to get better subs but they are much more, $2000-$5000 if not more. Hear it for yourself and feel the different! Highly recommended.
